All Universities/Schools/Entrance Exams Postponed Due to Coronavirus


As the positive cases of covid-19 are rising everyday by which academic schedule of all schools or colleges is going to be disrupted whether it will be exams, result or even new admissions.

School & Board Exams 2020 Postponed

On the other side, now its come to school going students. Many state boards have decided to promote all students from class first to eighth to next grade without any further examination where class 10th & 12th board exams were postponed and is likely to happen soon just after coronavirus pandemic overs. At this point of time, it is important to be safe and secure from this disease. New academic session also get delayed this year.

New dates will be out soon after crisis gets over by the time students are advised to sit at home and keep learning, keep preparing.

DU Exams 2020 Postponed

DU Exams are postponed which is likely to be held in the month of May & June 2020. Exams postponed for all regular colleges, school of open learning SOL as well as Non Collegiate Women Students. Now the current update, the existing exam datesheet of DU Exams 2020 is withdraw by the university and they will release new datesheet as soon as any government guidelines will arrive.

All other universities also postponed their exams amid coronavirus pandemic. They will also conduct exams after this crisis or any committee will issue some guidelines on it. Also the registration process for new admissions is on hold.

All Entrance Exam 2020 Postponed

Meantime, all entrances which includes JEE Main, NEET UG, JNU, IGNOU for admissions were postponed already due to covid19. Government competitive exams for job like UPSC, SSC, IAF, Bank or several others were also postponed due to covid-19 pandemic. As the lockdown is implemented, it is not possible to conduct any type of entrance examinations – senior official said.

HRD (Human Resource Development Minister) Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said: “The Director General of National Testing Agency has been advised to postpone the last date for submission of applications for various entrance examinations” and it is likely to be extended by one month. They taken this step so that everyone can apply for entrance exams with accessibility.

We are going through unforeseen situation and no one knows when the school and colleges will re-open for next session, so that’s why there is a need for contingency plan.  
Government is already working on educational part also, created some committee bodies who are working on contingency plan where they are looking for alternative academic calendar for the year which includes ways to conduct exams for various college or universities, then announcement of results, even planning of new schedule for vacations as well.
Apart from above, the plan also includes some measures to improve the career prospectus of students. It will look into several other issues too.
